Stikk UT! 2.4.11

The 2023 Stikk UT! season is unprecedented, featuring a remarkable total of 572 hiking destinations within our region. This year, the Stikk UT! app has been enhanced and for the first time allows users to explore hiking destinations across different parts of the country, involving 82 municipalities. Users are advised to check for updated opening dates in the trail descriptions.

The enthusiasm surrounding the Stikk UT! initiative is considerable. Through collaboration with our 28 participating municipalities, local organizations, landowners, and passionate community members, we strive to promote public health. Meaningful interactions between people and nature contribute positively to quality of life, and we are thrilled to present an array of beautiful hiking destinations, 187 of which are accessible for strollers, as stated by Liv Synnøve Hoel from the Friluftsrådet Nordmøre and Hilde Ellingsæter from Sunnmøre friluftsråd.

This year's map brochure is currently being distributed to all residents of Møre and Romsdal as well as Heim, inviting everyone to embark on outdoor adventures.

The various friluftsråd are collectively working with participating municipalities to encourage outdoor activities for all. We take pride in the fact that several friluftsråd across Norway recognize the significant contribution Stikk UT! makes toward fostering active lifestyles and enjoyment of nature.

New to this year's initiative is the ability to register Stikk UT! hiking destinations in multiple locations nationwide. With 82 municipalities involved at the onset of Stikk UT! Norway this year, approximately 1,600 hiking destinations are now offered. Future plans aim for expansion into even more locales across Norway in the coming years. The friluftsrådene from Nordmøre and Romsdal, along with those from Sunnmøre, have successfully partnered with seven other friluftsråd throughout the country, including five in Northern Norway—Finnmark, Nord-Troms, Midt-Troms, Vesterålen, Midtre Hålogaland—as well as Fjordane in the west and Lister in the south.
